This afternoon I bought from a lady next 2 lamps.

The first one is a Coleman..type I still have to look up.
The other one is a Bialadin. type...Have to look also.
Both are in an acceptable condition and the glass was not borken on both.
The are now already taken apart in pieces and let it rest in cleaning stuff till tomorrow.
I think...do not know yet both are gasoline burners however I am not sure about the Bialadin...
I have to look up in the library here on this page...

The Coleman looks like a model 241 which is a kerosene lantern of 200cp.

@JEFF JOHNSON sorry to hop from one to another...I was bussy with cleaning the Bialaddin 310. the wick at the bottom to heat up the lamp is as far as I can read in the old manuals asbestos wick. If I use a wick from a kerosine lantern ( stormlantern ..I collect them also) and roll them up..that should work also? It just need some fuel to warm up the lamp..so I guess this will work..and its these days a sort of cooton instead of asbestos...Or I see this wrong...? :)

A cotton wick would keep on smoldering after the pre-heat fuel is burned. Best to use a carbon wick or the type of rope used in wood stoves' doors. I have left the asbestos wicks in situ on my lanterns, as long as you don't do silly things with them I don't see a problem. On the other hand, I remember having seen adverts for asbestos-free wicks for these lanterns.

@Wim Hmmm that is indeed correct...they will keep smoldering for a while...The stove rope will work..and like you said...If I don't do strange things with the original wick that is still good enough I think...nothing will happen..i unrolled the wick because the staple was more then rust but I did that after the wick was in the bath with soap so in wet condition..the wick is now hanging to dry and I was planned when I re use it to wear some mask or so to roll it up again and install...I will consider both options..
