Not really a pressure lamp as we imagine it. But it works well on this principle. A leather piston, aided by a coil spring, pushes the oil into the moderator pipe, supplies the wick with oil, and also helps cool the nozzle. The oil circulating continuously, like an infinity pool. The flow adjustment is quite subtle, and contributes to the proper functioning of this type of lamp. For fuel, I use peanut oil, it smells like roasted peanuts. I like it that it is both beautiful and peanut oil can be used as the fuel. Well, that's a renewable energy source.
