    Hope you’re not tempting fate Tim, still a few days to go. The pyromaniacs must be twitching about now.

    @Wim it’s not over yet :-)
    Reading through the older threads it stays until just after the new yr (hope ive got that right?), then it is dismantled

    fingers crossed still

    edit : there is a little hut on the right hand side there with a security person; occasionally you will see him walking about and talking into his radio..

    From fire, perhaps, but not totally immune!
    He has been suffering bad from bird attacks the last week...
    Apparently the straw he was made of this year still had plenty of grain left, so it has actually been quite a bird problem :lol:

    I spent luch reading this thread from beginning to end and chakling the who way thru over all the banter :) isn't it a pity that they have pixelated the live feed, sometime GDPR is just used as an excuse by pencil pushing nitwits! - goaty is still OK as I check it out tonight! :)

    I think the camera housing just simply is partially covered with snow.
    It has been quite windy, so the snow fall has been more horizontal, so to speak.

    Another cause for celebration! Did they have to shoot a lot of birds to keep him looking so good? Just joking, wouldn’t like to think of any birds being harmed.

    @Jean J :-)

    i think Christer mentioned that last yr with bad weather they couldn’t get all the grain/seeds from the straw so thats what attracted the birds?
    (or something similar)

    this was a screenshot from 2am new yrs day and i thought i could see a smile from mr. goat ?

    Yes, you are remembering correctly.:lol:
    The former years goat was made with straws still containing grains, and that's not very clever birdwise...
