    Hi Friends,
    I am a litle confused about this Lanterns modell number, and need some help again.
    Which one is it?
    The lantern is about 37cm high.

    Merry Christmas and a happy new year in advance

    To me that looks like an early GDR (VEB Leipziger Werke) made No. 61L. So definitely a post-war lantern from the 1950s, which was imported and modified by Eugen Schatz, Zug / Switzerland.
    It should have the 1Q logo with the numbers 38/363/1002 stamped on the top nut.
    The glass is an original from Schott & Gen., Jena, most likely also made in GDR before they switched to the Rasotherm brand.

    It's a Hasag from Eugen Schatz in Switzerland.
    You cannot read Hasag on the base plate ,so this part is a post-war product.Jörg Wekenmann once told me that Eugen Schatz bought parts from Hasag before and from VEB after the war. And he told me that these east german-made Hasag lamps were always made twice:once from brass and once from iron with different type numbers.
    The number on this lamp 21151 may be a date .In terms of time ,the date and the components of the lamp would match exactly.
    21.1.51 = in english January 21 1951
    In my opinion ,this lamp was manufactured in GDR around 1950 and sold by Eugen Schatz in Switzerland

    It could also be the 2nd November?

    Just for info, putting the month before the day is American, not English (or Australian).

    According to Meinrad Aschwanden the companion of Eugen Schatz the numbers mean nothing. The military just wanted numbers on parts so they gave them numbers, random.
