Dears, Below is an eccentric shaft that I am not able to turn and/or remove from that gray nipple. It belongs to Hasag Kerolux lantern. It seems that instead of (familiar to me from Petromax lanterns) graphite packing there is some brass sealing part. 1. Any advice how to loosen it? Heat it repeatedly? Push it somehow? 2. Anybody can provide a picture how does it look disassembled and how does that sealing part look like? 3. Is it some standard Hasag shaft and shafts from other Hasag lanterns (351L for example) will be the same? This is quite interesting lantern and I do not want to break that part. You will have to pull out the round brass insert which compresses the graphite packing on the outside of the shaft (beneath the gland nut which you already have removed). That may require a piece of leather or rubber sheet and pliers in order not to damage the surface. You can turn the shaft and the insert against each other to loosen it from the shaft. Once it has come free you can remove (pull out) the shaft to the inside (where the excenter is), and then drill out the graphite packing quite easily.
