Greetings to all of you :) New member from Denmark here.

I just got my first few pressure lamps, and stumbled across this forum while looking for information on them.

Hope to get them up and running within the next few months. The lamps are:

    Primus 1094
    Petromax 829
    Optimus 350/350 CP

Will post pictures of the lamps later in the right forums, when I start working on them.

I do have two questions allready, that I hope you can help me with :)

    1. How do I remove the carriyng handle on the lamps? In all the youtube videos I have watched, they just unscrew the two "bolts" that holds the top and the handle in place. But I can't unscrew mine. I can just loosen them. They don't come all the way out/off. Because the handle on the Optimus is rusty, and I have allready bought a new one I would like to put on.

    2. Will the nipple for a Petromax 828 fit on an Optimus 350/350 CP, with the original Optimus needle?

Welcome to the forum @Dinger . Where abouts in Denmark are you from? Myself, I live in one of the suburbs of Copenhagen.

    As for your questions.
    1. The threaded studs that the handle nuts screw onto are riveted at the end after the nut was fitted. That way they can only be loosened. It is possible to force them of by continuing to screw the nut until it comes off. This will most likely need a pair of pliers (with a suitable soft protection of the nut like leather).
    2. Yes, the jet/nipple from an 828 should fit the Optimus. They are both 300 to 350 cp lanterns and the threads are compatible.

Looking forward to seeing some photos of the lamps. :)

Thank you all for the welcome.

And thank you Nils for your quick answers to my questions.

I live in Aarhus, but I spend 2-3 weekends in Copenhagen NV every month. So Nils, if you ever need something transported from Aarhus to Copenhagen, then just send me a PM :)
