Long story short...I came to this forum because on the stove forum they directed me here for questions regarding a Canadian 200 lantern...
After this I read the title of this forum and said to myself "what the hell is a pressure lamp"?
So... YouTube... Ok so those look really cool. I didn't even know they had pump up style indoor lamps that the Amish use...weird for me as now I think I've seen these in movies but being honest... never heard of a Coleman table lamp. They look delicate and expensive haha.

So I did what I always do...I pick something with a name I recognize... Went to a very popular place where people sell things like that...and won one... Very inexpensively.
I have no idea what I'm getting into but it's a Coleman 159x made in 1959....that's complete other than the globe/lampshade thing. It doesn't have a pre warming cup so I'm guessing it's white gas?
My question (thank you for reading this far) the globe lampshade things... They're really hard to get or not cheap. Is there a place I should go look? It has the bracket part that holds the shade on the top...as stated I think this only needs the lampshade
This is the listing photo...I get it in like a week.

    Welcome, @Remus1956.

If your shade holder is complete, then all you need is a shade. Glass shades for Coleman are often sold on the Bay of Evil, and there are reproductions available. Fabric or parchment shades, also.

You could also try Old Coleman Parts (in the USA).

    See here for parts names:

What do I call this part?: Coleman

@Tony Press Thank you. Yeah I checked the evil sight, but before I delve into that I will see once I get it what it will need to for parts. Seller said in his opinion that the pump leather needs to be redone, possibly the generator cleaned up, and thats about it other than the shade.

@JEFF JOHNSON thanks! Nice to see one of the posts there with dimensions for the shade...man is that helpful. When I get to that stage I will be referencing that for sure. Appreciate the link!

The 159 was the end of the line for table lamps. Made from 1956-71. It will run either kerosene or Coleman Fuel (CF). For kero there is a restrictor that goes in the bottom end of the air pick up tube and a pre-heat cup to go around the generator. If those are missing then the previous owner was probably running CF. It takes a 330 globe like this one Old Coleman Parts > Globes > Lamp Canadian Green Sunrise Globe "Made in USA" - G269

@Reese Williams that was exactly what I was looking for. I didn't know what glass goes on it. Thank you so much. I'm going to wait until I'm sure I got what I bought in photos... Then that's probably the one I'll be getting. Absolutely understand now regarding the kero vs CS .... Huge thanks!

    Hello all.
Well my lamp arrived. Any guidance would be appreciated.
The lamp is complete as I can tell. It does not have the red cap on the air inlet, and no preheat cup...so Coleman fuel (the fuel in it doesn't smell like anything I recognize though)
The stove will pump up and hold pressure which was a surprise to me however turning the on off valve has...uhh... issues.

On/off valve issues. Well I've had a few lanterns made by Coleman and the knob almost feels like it has little resistance to being opened and closed. I do see a valve moving forward and back when the top half of the lamp is removed from the tank portion. Something is really plugged up I think as no air escapes when you open the valve but do hear a really loud hiss when I open the fuel cap after pumping it up (holds air pressure)
There is a small screw missing on the side of the body where the air inlet is and the valve...and the generator wobbles a little in the mixing chamber.

I'll take some photos and maybe a video of what I'm talking about when it's not raining here. I'm thinking to soak the entire top end in vinegar to break up whether is keeping the air from hissing out when I open the valve.

Am I understanding this correctly that the coleman 200 lantern generator works in this 159x lamp?
When I search old coleman parts it comes up with a search for 159x parts.

I notice the wood handgrip is actually upside down, so while you're waiting, you could turn it the right way round. :)

The 159X lamp is normally fitted with an R55 generator.

The circular "nut" doesn't have to go down inside the wood. Have a look at other examples of this model in the lamp reference gallery, a good example can be seen in this post by @Tony Press
    Coleman 159X (Canada; Ja picture 8 is a close-up.

Two good clean flames at the burner nozzles. With a couple of mantles, that's going to be a nice bright lamp.

@Henry Plews ok that did it! I had the nut upside down. I have it squared away now.

Ok so some fireballs and I realize this lamp likes to be really preheated a lot before opening the fuel. I've ordered a preheat cup anyway even though this one is on Coleman fuel I didn't like the amount I needed to heat it up

Bad news but also a replacement generator is coming. The generator was plugged and broken midway so the cleaning needle did not block it... But it doesn't move.

I was kind of waiting on advice but then I just figured I'll give it a try and see what happens. What I got was a clean running lamp with no issues that I can tell. I've had it running in my garage for about 45 minutes while I grilled bbq for the wife.

Today the globe comes and today that @Reese Williams showed me a link for. Once I have that on (may need to straighten out the clips that holds that globe as mine are a little bent) I'll get another photo. Here is a photo of it sitting on the kitchen table

Oh..... This is really cool. Can't wait to see how it looks at night. I'm curious how I'll start it without flare ups. Probably remove the globe before it
    I really like it...

    Hello Reese:
Actually it's the reverse, if the lamp is using kerosene then the restrictor is left off, if it's using gasoline then the restrictor is to be put on. Cheers

    @Remus1956
    It's cleaned up nicely, congratulations.

It would be good if you would create a new post in the reference gallery with some detailed photos of the lamp.
There are some variations on your lamp not shown in the reference gallery.

@ROBBO55 ok! All I know about it is that the guy I got it from got it from an Amish community....I know I've noticed that the knob doesn't look like what's on everyone else's lamp...so maybe it's a lantern replacement... Who knows.

Cool thing though ..I really like it. I run it in the morning while I work (home office) and it's very predictable now (I guess I was leaning how to use it) I was a serious stove guy but now my lantern collection is growing haha

This site got me interested in lanterns and pressure lamps... I've got a few Coleman quick lites coming in today...I know nothing about them but I like how they look in photos here ... I'll post those later when the packages arrive!

Nice you got back to life this lamp again but your lamp is using a Leacock burner that you could use a Q77, Q99 and R55 generator and there is a updated burner that uses the 220/228 style generator I believe the part # is 220E5891

could it possibly have a Leacock control tap + casting and the burner top part + tubes from a Coleman or is that how they looked originally?
    Regards

I'm working on one at the moment Date: 2 / 1966. It looks to have the same burner and control cock.
This one I found in Australia about 8yr ago.

@podbros no, that burner is not Coleman from factory.
I have a few burner like this and the newer one that takes the t44/220 generator.
I was looking for picture in my phone but no luck, these particular burner came in Leacock 100 lamp and Leacock 100 wall lamp. Newer style came with the 107SS lamp and 107SS wall lamp. You can still buy the newer burner but no new lamps like the 107

Looks like the air tube and burner are Coleman but your valve body is not. Here is my Leacock 100 lamp. IMG_3979.jpeg IMG_3980.jpeg

your air tube has the two dimples on the back and can burn kerosene.

@Pancholoco1911 oh that's cool. I added my preheat cup just to make life easier on me... I'm just burning white gas and don't like flare ups in the house.
