Just got this, easy fettle, hardest part was removing the restricter ring on the valve stem so the graphite piece could be replaced as tightening up the jam nut made turning the knob too hard. Next to another recent catch, a RL 3 which was also a easy fettle, it had a leak out the C/V which is very slight now, running for three hours without issue.
Note the indentation on the genny. Ran fine for a couple hours.
The threaded section at the top of the burner is factory done braze, as I saw another in the sold area of the evilbay. It was not a good job as it dripped vinegar when I did a hot vinegar soak and was draining the residual. Didn't seem to affect performance.

Hey @hikerduane just a curious question regarding the generator...is it the photo, or does the generator have a slight kink to it?
Very cool lanterns, lost a bidding war for one of those...ha

The gennys get warped from long use? I have a few that have a curve, just makes putting all back together less easy, no effect on light that I can tell.
Thank you for all the comments.
I asked the seller on the bay to change listing so I could make an offer as I saw on completed sales these sold for less than the start price. Turns out, of the ones listed at the time, this was the nicest.
