Hello all, looks like I am the proud owner of my first Coleman lantern in my collection.
I will never know how she preforms either, as this little beauty wont be used in my lifetime.
I have a question though, how well do these lamps actually work anyway?
I must say it cost me an arm and a leg:^o.
The price was $75 AUD, I am pretty sure I got a real bargain and bargains are still out there.
I believe it's the sister lamp that @Tony Press has in his collection, I wasn't going to post it in the Reference Gallery, but after talking to Tony, he suggested that I should.
    So here she is.

Nice one, and definitely a sibling to mine.

I have a couple of late model 214s that aren’t NIB and they work pretty well. They’re just not the build quality of old Coleman lanterns.

Yes - like many Coleman lanterns of that ilk they seem to start well but get tired very quickly. My personal opinion is that they were cost engineered to get past the warranty expiry date. They have the rust resistance qualities on a 1970's Alfasud. That said I still have a shelf full of them..
They did do a limited production run of the 214 last year. I can't recall the price but it was more than AUD75..

Always good to see a NIB lantern.
