Primus Høvik Verk 1082 – my souvenir from beautiful Norway As far as read on the forum (thank You Primus experts) it is one of the latest variations, but I am not able to determine the exact year/period of manufacture. As usually with all my neglected and rusty lamps it took me quite a while and effort to clean it and fix all minor issues (incl. stuck NRV, leaking blanking plug, plenty of rust etc.) and make it run again. It almost finished as a parts donor, but I am glad I did not give up on it. Despite being quite an ordinary lamp, after all these “adventures” I have quite a sentiment to it and decided to honor it presenting in the gallery. No stamping on the bottom. I had to finally replace the nipple and needle for new (decided on 250CP set) but otherwise all parts original. All the best, Piotrek
Because it is made by Høvik Verk, I cannot be sure when it was made. I do know that the equivalent Primus model of this variant started towards the end of 1954 and continued until 1957. HV would not have started making them before Primus, so it is no earlier than 1954 and could be some years after.
