Gents, I joined the group last week and have posted three times. Since I'm new to the site, I'm wondering if I have been posting to the wrong forum. Perhaps I should be asking questions at the fettling forum. I don't want to be a nuisance and post in an incorrect place. Please explain to a newbie how the forum in organized and where posting is appropriate. Thanks, Gene B
Don't worry. If anything is posted in a totally wrong place, we will just move your post to the correct section. The difference between "Pressure Lamp Discussion Forum" and "Fettling forum" is not always absolute, so we won't be too picky there. Often a general question about e.g. how to remove a thing or such is more of a "Pressure Lamp" question than a "Fettlig" ditto, so many questions should still be in the lamp discussion forum. And sometimes a simple lamp handling question will turn out more as a pure fettling thing after the discussion has been going on. Then we may move it, but that's nothing you need to take under consideration when you start a topic. And sometimes the question/discussion isn't really about either tinkering with a lamp or a question that's lamp related in general. Like this question you asked here. It's not really about lamps, but rather about the forum itself, so better suited in the "Open Forum", so that's where I moved it now.
