Ive had the same problem with the glass from tilleylampsandstoves, they are quite a thick glass and wont fit in the alloy frame but they will fit the 300x frame, as I've got quite a few bialaddin and vapalux lamps I just swapped a few glasses around between frames until they all fitted.

 

And that's the root of your problem- those glasses are noticeably oversized in diameter and won't fit lanterns with cast frames; they are also slightly taller than originals.(Guess how I know this... ) Fortunately they fit brass or steel frames fine, and they're nice heavy glass, so the answer to your problem is to find a nice 300, 30x, early 305...
