Does anyone know what the thread is for receiving the tapered thread on the base of a Gloria generator?

I’m working on a Gloria table lamp with the Gloria No. 20 hollow wire fittings. The generator had been broken off at the threaded end and I need to re-thread the receiving hex fitting:

    Thanks in advance.

@Tony Press , I don't have the answer for you but do you have contact info for Dean Williams, he makes the reproductions for OCP.

    Thanks, Dean.

I don’t have contact details for Dean Williams, but I was going to ask OCP whether they could find out what the thread is for me.

    Cheers

    Hello Tony,
From what I have found with my lamps , the aussie lamps have a different thread to the yanks.
I would be looking for an old aussie hollow wire lamp and pinch the brass fitting from it.
    Cheers Mark.

Actually, @Marko57, I just managed to get the mashed up broken end of the generator out using the patented method of @Anthony: the end of a chainsaw file gently hammered in and then unscrewed with a parallel jaw wrench.

I also found a spare hollow wire hex fitting as well, so I’m back in action!

    Cheers,

    Tony

The only threads I’ve seen as tapered as that are on the acetylene burner tips?
There are old cleaning sets for them that come up occasionally but you will know if that is relevant or not (probably not!)

glad you can progress as everything in the first photo looks very original

I've seen very tapered threads twice too! Once on a Gloria lamp and also on a Primus 10lb seventies LPG/Propane bottle that I was planning on turning into a fuel tank. Had it strapped to a tree with those tie down ratchets and a spanner setup long enough to move the world, to remove the valve fitting only to be shocked to find it horribly tapered. Tried to tap a new thread but failed miserably.

PS I also like the sound of the @Anthony patented removal method; clever.
