Not sure if anyone saw this on EBay, advertised as a storm lamp 222.
It made over £1400, for the uneducated (me ) what is so special about this lamp. I have seen Feuerhand atoms make big money, but not sure about this.

That Hasag Colibri 222 is the equivalent to the Feuerhand Atom 75. Unbelievable how much people are willing to pay for such a piece of metal...

    ;)Hi Gary,

the Hasag lantern series No. 222,333 and 444 as well as the models BAT 666, 777, 888 produced by the same manufacturer are meanwhile very popular mainly in Japan and in South Korea! They have overtaken the Feuerhand No. 75 Atom.
Both model series were launched by Hasag AG in 1938. Since Hasag AG stopped its storm lantern production already in the summer of 1939 in favor of military production, so not so many Orkan lanterns were manufactured.
Here is a screen shot of ebay.com from today:

You've sold your lantern too cheap;)

    Kind regards

    Jörg

Hello, welcome to everyone who reads me, even if I haven't posted for a long time, I always follow CPC, the best site for mentally ill people with lamps. I was prompted to make this post as I own a Hasag Orkan 444 lantern of which I cannot find photographic traces on the web. How come? Is it a rare model by any chance? I hope so!!! Or is it a ghost whose existence is cited by many but no one owns one? Any news on this is welcome. Happy lighting everyone.

P.S.: this is a translation made with Google. I apologize.
P.S.S.: Greetings in particular to Nicola
