Winter has returned here in Shetland and the area where I live is covered with snow and ice and there is an intermittent freezing cold flying gale which drives the snow before it. However, it could be worse and the links below show information about the winter in Sweden and Finland. You are welcome fellow lampers! Shetland is a windy place and the wind causes the snow to drift and that creates problems, such as blocked roads, I shall be glad when the thaw comes.

Saw some film on TV news today Jeff of a ‘peatslide’ as opposed to a landslide on Shetland. Never heard of such a thing and imagine it isn’t too common? I hope not.
