    Thanks Tony!

As someone who prides themselves on having as many different tap and die types, I guess I really need one of those!

    Hello everyone,
I have a memory lapse, the Tilley and Bialaddin are indeed in 300CP ?

I have made good progress on the project, I still have to make the M10 x 100 on the nozzle holder and the tube. I should do the tests by Saturday.

First inconclusive attempt! The vaporizer is 1.46mm too short. I don't know where I went wrong in the design, I must have been in too much of a hurry to finish.

I did a quick test with a 1.50mm washer between the base and the tank, and I got small blue flames at the burner. I say small, because I had installed a 250 CP nozzle.

Following this test, and as the thread on the base is very tight on the last threads, I decided to add the 1.46mm there.

Test tomorrow, because currently my Bialaddin 320 works with an original vaporiser. Which is at the end of its life, because I have a strong smell of kerosene

Nice progress. I believe it is safer to have those threads on the tighter side rather than being a little loose.
After some heat-cool cycles of use, they tend to loosen up a little.

Second attempt KO, I have a sealing problem between the vaporizer and the burner.
    Vaporized fuel flows back.

With an attached nozzle, I don't see a solution.
I will take a closer look at the South Korean achievements, as well as the example posted by @WimVe

Was that really caused by leaks?
There'd always be a tiny bit of clearance between the vaporizer tube and the burner. I don't think that'd be a real issue.
It appears from the pictures that the fuel was not vaporizing completely or the fuel-air mixture was too rich.

I put on a 250 CP jet, and I'm waiting for an order of brass gauze.
The brass tube is 1mm thick.
    I'm going to try a 200 CP.

What happens if you put in a little more pressure?

No effect, i've put 50 strokes
With the original vapouriser, 25 stokes are enough
The tank is 3/4 full with fresh kerosene

Gilles, I'm wondering if the 250 nipple was not sealing properly and there was fuel leaking into the spigot. And the 200 nipple has sealed properly.

You should try the 250 jet again but without a mantle attached.
The burn should tell you if the mixture is correct or not without sacrificing a mantle.
As Martin hinted, any tiny leaks from the jet threads could also potentially upset the fuel-air ratio significantly.
If the jet orifice happens to be worn, the same applies.

    @ROBBO55 Indeed, I had a leak problem on the 2 threads ( Jet & jet holder )
I sealed with Teflon which holds heat very well.

@MYN I have another burner to do the tests (you can see it in the images of posts #40 & #41)
