    While unpacking some boxes which have been in storage I came across 4 Coleman lanterns and some tools and an assortment of spares. As a small kid I remember these lanterns being the only light source used on our farm in the Oribi Gorge in KwaZulu-Natal South Africa. I have cleaned up 1 and will post pics of the others once cleaned up. Models are a 249 scout,241G,and 2 x249Ds. I’m sure they are a few more some where buried in boxes so will update once I hopefully find more

    Hi and welcome to the forum. I’m sure you will have lots of interest in your lanterns. Lots of knowledge and experience here too if you have any issues.

    Regards Jeremy

    You’ve got a great start to a good collection. And a lot of spare parts.

    Hi. Welcome to the forum. Nice discovery.
    The filler cap on the 241 G and 249 Scout have been swapped.
    The 249D is the least common 249 model out there .

    @Neil68

    Welcome, and what a fine discovery!

    When you’re ready, that 249D would make a great addition to the Reference Gallery.

    Cheers

    Tony
