This pressure lamp has been in my inventory for a long time.Because I can't find it in the PLC I would show you now.Geniol was Franz Heinze's brand. After the LANTERNE series, this was certainly one of the first Geniol with a metal nameplate. For me the number code means week 6 of 1977.It is the only Geniol 500 cp without a quick preheater that I have seen so far.The word NORMALE is Italian,so I assume that this Geniol was once intended for the Italian market. In my country the Geniol always have a quick preheater, which the Geniols call "Automatic".The lamp was manufactured in Portugal by Hipolito.

In French an E is added to the ending of normal if what is normal is feminine. Lanterne is feminine in the French language
eg: Deux fois plus lumineuse que d'une lanterne normale

The normal Information on the nameplate does not refer to the lantern but to whether the Geniol is equipped with or without a quick preheater. It's normal or it's not normal is always written like this in French : NORMAL

It's not in the PLC because I wasn't aware of its existence. It will be added now though. Could you do me an image of the label please so I can add that as well. ::Neil::

It appears to be basically Petromax or Hipolito except for some markings, pump knob and maybe the pricker control wheel?

A very, very, very beautiful lamp. It's impressive how shiny and clean it is. It doesn't seem "normal" to me.

@Jörg, it's impressive what you conjure up from your archive!
