    Hello...quick question...bought a carbide lamp on that Evil site and all seemed to be going well. Supposedly shipped I got a tracking number from Royal Mail who delivered it to a Pitney Bowes who provided another tracking number. Then for some reason it was held up then declared undeliverable. It was a carbide lamp. It was Evil Bay Global Shipping if that matters? Of course the seller has so far not answered my messages...lol It was such a cool lamp and was really looking forward to getting it. Never had this problem before and have gotten numerous actual pressure lanterns and stoves from the UK. Anyone have any insight? Thank you in advance......Alex

    Hi Alex,
    I am sorry to hear about your lamp,
    unfortunately that name Pitney Bowes is well known as a confiscator of anything lamp related and ebay just don’t seem to care.
    There are a few threads on here about ebay global shipping and lots of views about it.
    Bizarrely it seems that once a lamp is confiscated it can be dealt with by other rules such as being held to be a hazard..
    Hope something positive turns up for you,
    @HV Alex

    Thanks for the info Sir.
    Ohhh well if that isn't like a kick to the knackers. lol I guess that's a done deal. I'd actually heard that people on occasion have had troubles but I thought that was just through Royal Mail. Maybe I've been lucky but probably 10 came through Royal Mail and no problems. Once my package cleared Royal Mail I thought that's it no problem. Then the Pitney boy's got a hold of it and it was on hold...hold...hold...then the dagger to the heart...UNDELIVERABLE. So I gather no form of recourse...begging...offering up your first born...??? Will work?

    You should get your money back through the ebay scheme as you never recieved the goods. Technically the seller should have known but then again there are so many pitfalls..
