    Dears,
Below pic of the Hovik lamp stolen from Internet. I wonder about the unusual hood - is it original/just stripped from red enamel or maybe interesting specimen?
Thanks for any and all info.
    all the best,
    Piotrek

I have never seen a HV102 that is not all red, so my suspicion is that someone has removed the enamel. Of course, just because I have never seen one, does not mean that it does not exist. :)

Thank you Nils. Me too - only red hats and this one looks a bit suspicious.

I'm still not convinced it is original. If I remember correctly, the HV102 has a two piece hood (like the original Primus 1020) so the top cap could have been replaced with a Primus cap from a 1001 or a replacement item. My personal opinion is that a red top cap looks nicer. :)

I agree, a good condition red top looks better INHO :) and indeed the silver one may be replacement, as that would be quite weird to install only one enamelled part somewhere in the middle of the lamp.
