Good morning, just a quick question,
I have seen a Coleman lamp on a dutch online market place.
According to the pictures I am almost positive it is an 252, because of the alu generator and the small space with lock on the tank for spare parts.
But, the fuel tank is not green, it is brass, did Coleman make a civil model of the 252?
Or did someone removed the green paint?
It is a 1945 by the way.

    Regards,

    Ton.

No they were always military ony and painted green. In 1945 it should be marked in the base as Coleman or AGM. ::Neil::

    Thanks Neil.

This one is marked US Coleman 1945 on the bottom so someone once must have stripped the paint.
Rather rare here in Holland, but according to my wife I have too many lamps.
I am going to take a look tomorrow anyhow, only 25 kilometers.

    Have a nice weekend,

    Ton.
