    Dears,

    This is my Petromax Baby 821 from July 1942. Date was stamped on the bottom („7 42”), but it is barely visible. Lamp was is sorry visual condition, so I decided to repaint tank, frame and centering/holding plate.
    Glass is some replacement.
    Tank is brass, it was not nickel plated, but simply painted green. That green paint was easily removed with acetone. Black frame paint was completely different story and had to be removed mechanically, because no paint removal worked at all.
    Pump made of steel. Frame made of steel except for the brass top ring. In comparison, frame in Petromax 2821 is all steel.
    Lamp works great with new Petromax 250cp set of needle, nipple and 200-300cp Luxor mantle. I used old 200HK nipple and needle in other 300cp lamp, because nipple was enlarged by long time use.
    The packing nut of the pricker control valve had stress crack (this is common in old 821 size lamps, because nuts are bit shorter then in 300-500cp lamps) and needed to silver soldered. Thank you @presscall for showing how to do it in this Aladdin Petromax 828 thread. I struggled with that, but finally succeeded. The nut is not perfect, but in quite good condition :)
    I have another such a lamp, but missing top parts (inner casing etc.), so it is a parts donor. I have not seen another green 821 example in the gallery, so some may find it interesting.

    All the best,
    Piotrek

    Very nice looking and working:thumbup::thumbup:
    The black coating on the frame could be vitreous enamel instead of paint.

    The first photo looked so beautiful, so when I saw the article about the paint being peeled off, I thought it was a shame.

    After reading the article to the end, I realized that the first photo was the result of a restoration.

    The finish is natural, looks natural, and is very cool.:thumbup:
