    Can you please check the dates on any Aussie Colemans you have?

    We know that the factory in Adelaide was established in 1950 (probably late 1950), so I'm looking for early dates of manufacture. I've got one dated "1 51", and I'm trying to find out whether there are any earlier 1950 dates.

    While you're at it, if you find any later than 12/1960 I'd be interested as well.

    Thank you in advance.

    Cheers

    Tony

    Good luck

    Thanks, Nils! 10/1950 must be quite early.

    Does it have an original glass?

    My 242B from July 50 is also pushing the date back.

    I expect it is a replacement glass, but not sure. Maybe one I put in it?

    Off topic, but does anyone know where to get the top nut to fit the Australian Colemans? I know they are slightly different to the others. Also what is the thread size?

    Thanks, Nils.

    My 1/1951 Aussie Coleman came with an English Pyrex globe (no “Coleman” on it:

    I’ll check to see if I’ve got a spare nut, and also look at the thread.

    @Nils Stephenson

    The Canadian and Australian cap nuts are interchangeable on my lamps (4 tested). The thread is 3/8 NF24.

    I’m still looking for a nut.
