Hi guys, I've found a hipolito 250 in a charity shop ( i'm made up, like PROPER over the moon), after a little tinker here & there, I've got it running like a song, but , when you take off the tank cape, it looks as if the washer has welded itself on to screw thread, is it meant to be like this ? NOT like any of my hippo 502's

Cheers Jeff, is it the old washer just been forced / tightened too much ? Should I pick it off and get a new washer ?

Yes. If the washer is hard, replace it.

    Cheers

No m8, it's solid, that's why I was thinking it must meant to be like that, a shop in Claughton village, £15.... nxt time I light it m8, it will be posted.... this 1 won't be going anywhere near the mersey, or any salt water

    Wow bargain :-({|=

I usually renew all seals where poss as even tho some seem ok it’s more hassle, especially when there’s a problem.. (later on) usually at the worst time

lots of lamps I see getting drilled so you got there in time, thats the main thing
