It might be useful to members to know that the Dolphin Firelight’s tank attachment threads are compatible with those on the riser tube of 2-pint capacity kerosene stove tanks other than Dolphin’s own. The lantern came to me in pristine condition … … it’s separately acquired stove attachment less so. Note the shedding of plating ringed from the steel tank. Buflam (manufacturer Twigg) seem to have favoured nickel plated tanks (A brace of Buflams) and ‘borrowing’ one of those I have to couple with the Dolphin gave a combination I preferred to a Dolphin/brass tank pairing. The generator and pricker control and eccentric operation are simpler than is seen in lanterns of the ‘classic’ designs, but perfectly functional. Nevertheless, the overall ‘look’ of the combination holds up pretty well against those designs, I think. John
