Tilley ML93/ML96

Could anyone shed any light on the ML93 and ML96 tilley lamps.
I thought the ML93 was a KL80 lamp in a Wooden bowl with a turned base and an ML96 was the KL80 in a Brass/metal bowl with a wooden turned base.
From looking I think the ML93 is the Lamp on its own with no stand or hanging frame and the ML96 is the lamp in the brass/metal bowl and stand?
Does anyone know if Tilley made a wooden ML96 bowl or were they all brass or metal

What I posted is out of one of my catalogues but it is in Jims book too.

 

Does anyone own an original ML96 in the urn shape? If so they’ve kept very quiet about it.

 

Yes I've never seen a photo of one like that

 

Information on these is very slim. All I have found is a 1940 Kopsen catalogue (what Jim Dick posted in the Tilley book) and a couple of small ads also from 1940.
It would now be difficult to tell original from reproduction as the info in the book has now been out for 24 years and stands could look old by now.
Being war time production, I assume they were made by Kopsen to replace the barley twist stands and were limited to the Australian market.
Kopsen also made a floor stand at the same time made of coachwood so perhaps these were coachwood too.

 

Thanks for that Anthony. In 1940 I suspect there were more serious matters to think about rather than decorative lamp stands.
