What is not a lamp, but has a heater and uses pressure?

    In the box was this........

    Even got 3 air pumps.

All it took was a good clean, fresh fuel.
Only one pump did not work.

Quite a popular iron. The pump can probably be undone and fixed. The small one looks correct.
The US, Canadian and Australian 4A irons use different sized retention bolts (the two on the sides) and I wonder what size the ‘British Made’ ones are?
    Nice find.

All pumps are now fully working, the smaller one was a pig.
The internals had undone, the cup washer was stuck inside.
But heat and a hook had it out.

This would be a good example (being UK-made) for the Reference Gallery, especially with photos of the stampings. Is there a date?

    Cheers

Well done on getting that pump sorted out.

By the way I notised or rather cannot see, the lighting hole, which is obviously on the left side of the iron; the same as the USA model 4A that I have. My Canadian and Australian 4A irons have the lighting holes on the right side.
