    Hello.

I bought this tank to replace the one on my Primus 1081 but trying the torch it just blows air, not a fuel spry.

How should I clean it? What have I to do?

    Thank you.

You need to check that the gauze at the bottom of the fuel pickup hasn't clogged up.
Also check that the fuel line is free all the way and that it's not broke so it accidentally might seep air higher up.
And the two screws on the side of the burner can be removed so you can clean the air and fuel passages up there.

    These pictures might help.
The first is from one I dismantled, and the other is from the patent for that quicklighter.

Much better. The fuel side hole behind the screw were clogged.

    Nice Juan!
Perhaps the flame is a bit on the yellow side, but it will work.

Yes, I made the same observation.

Now I'll have some question on how to combine both lanterns as I can't take apart the pricker rod from the worst lantern.

Why can't you get it out? Is there anything obvious. I usually find that the cleaning rod is too easy to get out as the spring in the spring loaded tensioner has got too weak.

I finally could. I now have a leakage at the base of the generator but the rest works great. When everything will be fine I will post a pic.

I managed to tak the pricker rod apart and to make onw lantern from both. On the right, the donor lantern (AE) and on the left the complete one (AK).
It Works fine but I haven't got good light from it, most probably due to the mantle which is not big enough.

    Good day.

I need to replace the packing on the pre-heater.
Any guidance on how to remove the section marked in the picture to get to the packing please?

I'm not the person to give advice on this, Jak. Perhaps some other more skilled member can.

There should be a small headless screw in the ball with the lever (seen from the other side) that needs to be removed to pull the ball off the shaft.
