A nice well making hanging lamp is now in my collection: A Viñals from Spain. Many of the components are identical to those of Petromax (834)hanging lamps. The most visible difference is the brass tank. The base frame is made of aluminum. Viñals 200cp
Hello, thank you for the compliments! I didn't know the manufacturer “Vinals” either and at first glance at the pressure gauge I thought it was a contemporary purchased part. When I dismantled the lamp, I discovered the “Vinals” marking embedded in the aluminum of the base body. I highlighted this with a black pen for better readability. So my assumption is that it was a small manufacturer who produced such lamps, presumably in small series. Another collector recently wrote on Facebook that he also had a lamp like this. Unfortunately, I can no longer find the entry. I was given a nice little polishing stand from an old GDR production by a friend who found it in a scrapyard, this polishing stand makes polishing much, much easier.
Very nice lamp Leo! I think I got the same lamp. At least my pressure gauge looks the same and the fuel tank is also brass. I painted the tank because I needed to solder a lot of holes and I was not able to let it shine that good as yours .
