Here's one I've been putting off way to long to get started on. But when I finally decided to dig in I kept going until it was finished. I got to stretch my fettling legs on this one. Using many tools from my arsenal. Powder coating, nickel plating, custom globe etching/painting, modifying parts to fit and work where they do not belong, some lathe work, ECT. Thanks fellas. @Camp numao I probably shouldn't be teaching on the subject as I'm still learning myself, but basically it's a static charged powdered paint that you bake. The only rust prevention is the paint itself.

@Tom Pedersen I use a vinyl stencil, sand blast a texture and then apply a high temp paint. While not a step by step how to, here's some photos of my process on a similar globe at the CCF. More custom globe fiddling - The Coleman Collectors Forum
