Two petromax age identification?

Hello. I have 2 petromax lantern, first & older is a 826 with E letter in the logo. I didn't found any numbers on the tank.



the second is a 829 rapid, and it has a number 903353 . what do you think, how old this twio lamp?

Hi Roy77, on second one with the blue pump knob. If you remove the pump from the tube, is there a leather pump washer or is there an arrangement with 'O' rings? That style of lamp is still made today so it probably isn't that old. The reason I ask about the pump is because I believe that they moved to the 'O' ring setup in 2003 so you get a rough idea before or after then. Sorry I can't help more, best regards Matt.

 

The 826 is between late 1930s and 1952.

The 829 is not so easy as they were made like that from 1964 to today.

Well unless the pump has been changed for a leather cup, which is quite possible as the 'O' ring design is rubbish. It is pre 2003. So 1964-2003 is my best offer. Best regards Matt.

Well they are supposed to but I have my doubts. Might indicate 1990 though perhaps.
