Dears, Please find below HASAG 39SP KEROLUX 102. 100CP HASAG jet with 150cp Petromax needle. 100Cp Luxor mantle. Photos of jet and original needle (broken) attached with Petromax jet for comparison. There is a „111” on the HASAG needle. I painted the inner casing with the high heat resistant chimney paint, but it is no good for these conditions as it deteriorated immediately. Number “6” on the back of the wheel. Glass is not original. All parts brass except for the inner casing. There is that part with threading on both sides that you can screw into the J-tube. I am pretty sure that once screwed the other side then it will run on alcohol as the longer end protruding ftom the J-tube will be an air restriction. Still, in my opinion there is some part missing, as that wire above the jet has to has some purpose… It runs on kerosene, but alcohol may be more appropriate because of that old, enlarged jet. I will have to play with this lamp a bit more. all the best, Piotrek
Dears, Thank for your attention. I like the proportion of that lamp – small 100cp top with bigger base. Guy from the metal scrapyard sold it to me, so someone simply dumped it to the bin… I would like to add something regarding that part threaded from both sides that holds the J-tube. It that Kerolux the longer end has some rough finish - as if it was broken. The whole inner casing of that lamp was quite easy to dismantle – someone did that in the past. It is not easy and access to one screw is terrible, so J-tube was askew. He/she might damage that holding part, because all HASAG parts are just perfect, and nothing is left unattended to the smallest detail. It was not easy, but I manged to dismantle another such an inner casing from my Hasagish mystery lamp: ID help The holding part from that lamp is in perfect condition and confirms that Kerolux part was broken. When attached with longer end towards the jet it may be a good air restrictor when alcohol is used. I will check this out. There had to some design solution for alcohol use, because lamp will not work on spiritus with “regular size” air gap – that I know for sure. It seems that the “double purpose holding part” is smart design for alco and kerosene use, but I do not know if it was designed for that purpose. There is also that strange wire that purpose is still unknown to me. On the attached picture there is also visible a small “bump/step” in inner casing rim, just next to the jet hole which works as a stopper to the wire. If anybody has pictures of dismantled top part of HASAG 34, Hasag 34SP, drawings, schemes, instructions, ideas etc. then please let me/us know. All the best, Piotrek
I manage to run this lamp on alcohol. I took 100cp “S” jet from Hasag 34SP EFAR 100cp and installed the “double purpose holding part” for alcohol use mode. The 100cp „S” jet is much bigger then 100cp kerosene. It fits a 350cp needle easily. Lamp was working but pulsing. So I added some super thin brass mesh to the generator upper part and now it works just fine. I am super happy at the end and believe that this lamp was designed for alco use in such a configuration originally. OK, mesh is additional, but it was working without it as well. All the best, Piotrek
