Hi Ray that has surprised me i never knew Bialaddin made a non pressure radiant paraffin heater,i have seen many Aladdin heater's of that type before in the past but never a Bialaddin, you may need a new wick and check the seals on it and the fuel bottle, and show us some pics of it working they did throw out a good amount of heat

    Hi Brian

Surprised me too ! Well, a hell of a learning curve since posting it. I'm reliably informed by a couple of contributors already via PT's that it's a drip feed kerosene heater with an asbestos wick referred to as a kindler wick. Needs a little TLC but hope to revive it

Edit: it's around 8250 btu output
    Cheers

Thanks, Jeff - I'd like a copy of that paperwork, too.

And if anybody's got a spare glass fuel bottle for one of these, I'd be pleased to hear about it. The one I've got's useless without it...

Hello David, yes, there was a glitch with the first e-mail at this end, so I was not sure if it went or not.

    Hence the second e-mail.

Hi guys just joined. I've just fished the very same heater out a skip. Got it home and had it running after figuring out the mechanism. What a heat it makes. Will be awesome in the workshop in the winter with the windows open for air circulation

I find they're quite heavy on fuel compared with a Bialaddin bowlfire. It's horses for courses, though... :)

They're quite handy for starting house fires as well. You need to make sure the seals on the fuel bottle are in good order. Failure there can dump a gallon of warm kero into the wick feeder and then onto the floor. ::Neil::

    Hi everyone.
I've recently bought one of these from auction and could do with some tips on getting it back up and running and potential issues. It has the gauze dome but no spiral element and I'll replace the wick also. It's come with a rippingillies glass bottles so I'm unsure if this will be OK to use? Is it just the bottle plunger mechanism that has perishable seals on these heaters or is there somewhere else I'm missing such as the brass feed pipe unions? Thanks in advance
