Hello everyone, some time ago I bought this small, rather battered Optimus lamp. After cleaning it I tried to turn it on but it didn't have a needle and the ear was clogged. I have seen in previous posts that the ear thread pitch should not be the same as the Petromax, however in mine the needle and ears of that type fit without problem. Do those who have tried it think that the ear and needle of a petromax hk 150 will work well? Thanks for your opinions, regards
It sounds like the thread must have been modified at some time. If a standard Px jet fits, then use a 150 jet and needle. I havn't tried it, but it might work. I know that's what I use on the original Optimus 100 (it has the 'standard' thread) and it works well.
