Does anyone have any idea how much (ml) methylated spirits is used to fill the pre heater? Asking as I now want to test my iron but its a blind fill for the Meth as it is hidden in the body of the iron.
Thanks for the info. I fired it up but doing it outdoors (as a precaution) I had to preheat twice, I then either turned on too soon or too high initially so had a paraffin flare. Despite this I reckon I will get it correct next time. That said when it settled I had it running for around 10 minutes and all appeared to be ok. I think its a bit like the storm lamps, once you have done it a couple of times its quite easy. Link:
