Finally got my cq up and running. I bought it a new r55 generator. It seemed to have a bit of a flicker/ flash when running. It seems to happen about every 8 to 10 seconds. Any advice on this and what are the best mantles for this lamp. Many thanks, Paul.
Hi Mantles should be coleman no21 ,peerless 2chg or any similar size, as for the flickering other more learned members may be able to help. Regards Ian
I have had two brand new R55 generators do this, a few hours use seemed to cure them. Like Ian, I like Peerless 2CHG for these. Older coleman 21's and other clones etc will do.
