Can anyone direct me to a tool or trick to remove a pump valve lead washer. This is #83 in most diagrams.
The one I have seems locked in place.
    Thanks,

    Hello @M_Phipps and Welcome!

is the lead washer still on the valve like this ?

.. if so then I would use a craft knife to prise it off the head of the valve, then pliers etc.. some heat may help

..or is it languishing down in the bottom of the pump tube ?

    regards
    p

It is down in the pump tube. I picked at it with a long screw driver but with no luck.
Not wanting to score the seat or tube wall, I was hoping for some tips or a tool that might extract it.

Old bicycle spoke worked for me several times. One end or/and the other.
    Good luck,

A large flat bladed screwdriver with a sharp edge (not worn and rounded) normally works for me.
