Hello All, PREFACE: I'm new here. I've collected and restored kerosene hurricane lanterns for many years and have (fairly) recently gotten involved with Coleman lanterns. I've learned a lot, but have a lot to learn. I checked around here for some info that might help me answer this question and haven't had any luck thus far. I've seem similar lanterns on here, and even reached out to a few of the original posters, but have yet to get any information that was helpful. QUESTION: I have my papaw's old J.C. Higgins lantern and it seems to be in pretty decent shape. I've gotten a few old Coleman's back in working order so I do have some experience, but I don't know how to go about finding parts for this lantern. I haven't even confirmed who made this piece. (I got a little overwhelmed with information.) Also, the pump assembly appears to be ??? (good question. I have no idea.) I just want to get this lantern back in working order. This main takeaway is this: Rover is trying to find some info on this lantern, and mostly trying to find some parts. If someone could point Rover in the right direction, Rover would be overjoyed. I am looking forward to getting to know everyone. I hope to learn a lot, and maybe one day to be of some assistance myself. Thank you in advance for any information and support that you can offer. Your lantern was made for Sears by AGM, American Gas Machine. The first three digits of a Sears model number is a manufacturer's code. 710 for AGM, 742 for Prentiss Wabers, 476 for Coleman and so on. Look at Terry Marsh's site, probably this page AGM, King Seeley, & Thermos lanterns – 3 – later models

@ROBBO55 and @Cottage Hill Bill Thank you both SO much! This is incredibly helpful. Any ideas as to what this pressure pump might be from? It's not original to this lantern, I assume. And I haven't seen one like it on anything else. No big deal, just curious. Thanks again! -Rover
The rest of the pump plunger should look like this, if it does, then it's just the hexagonal disc that has been swapped out for the T piece.
Great! I'm gonna replace the pump assembly as soon as the parts come in, as in its current state it does not function, and I believe I can at least get the lantern to light. The valve stem is still a little sticky. May have some more work to do there. I don't really intend to "use" this lantern, but I would love to have it in working order. As I said, it belonged to my papaw who bought it new, so it has a lot of sentiment behind it. I really do appreciate all the help, folks.
