Here's my handkerchief shade. I see in Jim Dick's book the advert gives a size of 10 inches for the large ring which this one isn't.

For reference or anyone looking to make one, the wire used for the frame is 1/16" wrapped in a silk? ribbon. The large ring is approx 8 inches and the smaller is 5 with 3 struts attaching the two together. The 3 loops for hanging on the burner are probably 1/32" without measuring them properly. The silk material is approximately 13 inches square, the tape and beads around the outside pucker it up slightly but I'd say 13 inches is about right.

A lovely thing Matt. Alas, my contribution to ‘indoor illumination’ at Newark this year will be a faux oil table lamp gassie that Veritas made for a while.
