    I like the red fount table lamp especially and the two X246B's have come up very nice too. Congratulations.

    I'm afraid I can't take the credit on how they look, I bought them in that condition. :thumbup:
    Though the brasso is going to have to come out to keep them looking nice. :-k

    There'll be complaints!

    Personally, I think something called Brasso, designed to clean brass and with instructions to that effect on the tin would be fine to clean brass. Just about everyone else disagrees. I wouldn't use it to clean delicate, mediaeval brass artefacts but with lamp and lantern tanks I've never had a problem. Not that I'm that much of a 'polisher', mind you - I prefer working lamps in their normal livery rather than highly polished ornaments / trinkets for the mantlepiece...

    I'm with you on this one @David Shouksmith, I've been using Brasso for years without any problems, I'm not going to go for the highly polished look, just enough to get rid of any fingermarks.
