I have never heard of this lamp manufacturer before. I spotted the lamp in a Pub in country Victoria. It was piled up with a heap of old relics to reflect the history of the town. Has anyone had any experience with these lamps?
Were you able to pry the lamp loose from the pub? This would be a very nice addition to a collection. Don't know much about Wizard myself, apart from what is already written various places here. I had the impression they mainly did hollow wire stuff, so a lantern is unusual.

It should say it on the white Valve Knob The Lantern pictured is a " 135 ' with a fuel capacity of 12 hours light. You have to watch the cp rating as it probably comes under the Aust formula for cp. Yeah, do that - I'm sure it's just a bit of decoration to them. Maybe if you offer to replace it with something else (more common of course!) and wave a bit of cash in front of them, they might be persuaded...
I wouldn't say they are extremely rare but out of 10 they are a 9.999999. Only ever seen literature on them. Go for it. Colin
I have a picture of one from Albert White so either he has one or knows someone with one. No details though so possibly not his lantern. Could even be the same example of course. The single advert for it in the magazine has a typo. It is stated in the text to be model 135 but the image is titled 133. ::Neil::

I found this photo in Albert Whites photo's of a very early Wizard, but nothing like the one I have in this post.
Interesting observation Nils, I knew Wizard did much more than hollow wire and plants but it bugged me why I couldn't find many Wizard lamp ads. This following statement from Wizard taken from an ad of theirs may explain some the reason behind the lack of Wizard Lamp ads. In response to numerous inquiries we would state that we do not handle table lamps on account of the extra insurance rating charged.
