Tilley No.2081 glass

    Intended for this GL602T butane lamp.

    Until now I’ve made use of a Tilley 171 glass with a spacer.

    The 2081 glass is the same height as that for a Petromax (Phoebus equivalent pictured) or Primus 1020, but the diameter’s in-between both.

    Other recent acquisitions are the ceramic nozzle specific to this lamp with its distinctive mantle support to enable a soft mantle to be used ‘upright’ rather than suspended and the correct Tilley mantle, which forms a large pear shape when inflated.

    I think the 2081 also fits the SDR models - none of which I have now, but I do have a spare globe somewhere around here. :-k

    I must dig it out...

    I believe you are correct David, I bought a new old stock 2081 from Basecamp a few years ago which Mike said would fit my SDR, apparently they are quite difficult to get hold of, I still haven't tried it for fitment!
