    Team, am just finishing rebuild of a nice 3/300 and found that its check valve no longer works. I have used an old style that I rebuilt with a new pip.

    Looks to be an ingenious design. Can anyone advise what size is that o-ring and what material it's made from? I presume all that is needed to rebuild is a new o-ring (and a new lead washer?)
    Cheers all, John

    @JohnL

    I’ve got one of those but I won’t be able to check it until next weekend as I’m heading bush.

    It would most likely be nitrile, but if you replace it, use viton if you can get the correct size.

    Hopefully another Aussie will get the size for you.

    Cheers

    Tony

    Note the nut on the screw is swaged on after the NRV was assembled. It would be better to replace the seal by prying the old one off rather than disassembling the NRV (like I did)

    The O ring I used was Viton but I can't find what size. Measure the dia of the screw will give you a good guide.

    Following this thread a bit as have a couple of Austramax NRV's to repair. Will do the rounds of the machinery shops and see if I can get some Viton O rings.
