I picked this (Phase 2?) Bialaddin 300x up today from a local antique cellar for 15 quid. It's salvable, just missing tank cap and cage handle, but it has the earlier style, better knurling on the handle nuts which are still in place. I wasn't aware the handles could be separated from the nuts though? I have a sacrificial 315 I've tried to remove the handle from, but no way it'll budge off the nuts. I'd like to keep the earlier ones on the 300x, rather than just swapping the complete handle over. It just seems odd, the handle might come adrift in normal use?

Perhaps you could make a handle.

I did consider that initially it must be said, but I'll try the brute force and ignorance route first, lol.

It may be a wise idea to heat the bottom ends of the handle with a blowlamp before trying to open them with pliers.

Yes, I shall give it a go Jeff. It's just odd it's missing in the first place, as I'm assuming these are not meant to be separated?

It would appear an X246a handle is a very close approximation to the Bialaddin article, so I shall adapt one of those. I have two such cages in my spares box.
