This version hasn't been described in the gallery yet. It's the first version of the 119 A, the 500cp variant of the standard 119. It's quite rare, but not unknown in Sweden. I got the lamp from a very good Swedish friend. This model is known with and without a level gauge. The later 119 A models have the standard-length neck and an additional stamped letter A. Please enjoy.
This is the first time I've seen a 119A in such beautiful condition. It's amazing. Other 119As have 119A engraved on the tank, but there are also 119As that don't have the marking. Does that mean there are many variations?
There are at least two variants. Long neck without A (mid 1930s - early 1940s) and later version with normal neck stamped A (mid1940s to 1960s).
For those needing more information on the 119A, here are a few explanations. The main difference from the standard 119 is the nozzle, mixing tube, and mixing chamber. The mixing tube and chamber are very similar to the Radius 103/106 variant with an additional pin for the hood. In my experience, the 500s generally tend to overheat. In the 1939 catalog, the 119A is listed as 15 inches high (like the Radius 115). Later, it shrank to the standard size.
