I have just acquired a x 359. I am trying to get the pre burner to work, but as per previous posts the gasket is munched up in the pre burner. Does anyone know where I can get this part ? Or has anyone had a crack at making one ?. Any advise would be welcome as the lamp is in really good condition.

There is an image of this part here http://0flo.com/index.php?threads/2374 I don't know of any having been reproduced so I guess making your own is about the only way here. ::Neil::

Thanks Neil, I was hoping and praying there would be an easier solution.

The 13th labour of Hercules was to get one of these preheaters working. My advice is to block off the jet with a piece of rubber and then light it with a meths torch.

James is right. They are a rare thing to find complete on the lamp and even then mostly they don't work very well if at all. Often these lamps have the torch removed and a bolt screwed in because they didn't work. Seal it off and use a meth torch. ::Neil::

Thanks for your help James. Do you mean I can just seal the jet and leave the burner in place once its sealed. Or do I have to put a plug in the tank and remove the pre burner. I would like to keep the pre burner in place to keep it original
