Austramax globe logo

Hi all,

I’m interested in the logo on this Austramax globe. It may be quite common but it’s the only one like this I have.

It’s much smaller than the usual logo, printed in an almost identical manner to the Coleman logo found on many Australian lanterns.

We know that the Coleman globes were fitted to some Austramax lanterns (I have one new in the box that came with one), so was there a point that Austramax had the globes made by the same manufacturer and printed in the same way?

I’m guessing some time in the 60’s perhaps, looking at the shape of the globe?

I haven't seen one with a logo like that but IMO the shape suggests a much earlier production than 1960s.

 

Thanks @ROBBO55 - yes, maybe that shape was 50’s rather than 60’s

 

I’ll check my Austramax globes when I’m back from Japan next week.
