I needed a tank to run a hollow wire lamp. So looked around the workshop and decided cage on this Coleman 201 wasn’t worth repairing. The tank whilst rusty held pressure. Stripped the lantern down to its components. Removed the paint and rust inside and out. Resealed the inside with KBS tank sealer and painted the outside with Epoxy Enamel. Removed the pricker control and made a Plug (5/16” x 40 TPI thread). Replaced the generator with a short length of copper pipe. Made a nut to connect the copper riser to the valve (3/8” x 27 TPI thread) Made a connection for the copper riser to hollow wire [8mm x 1.0mm thread (local modern brass connectors)] and silver soldered it on. Assembled all the components and it worked well on this Wizard N0.55 hollow wire lamp | Classic Pressure Lamps & Heaters
