Went to the recycling centre skips today.
Dumped a load of stuff, but came home with this.







The mantle was in good shape, but the glass was gone.
We raided my spares.





Even the pump washer was good.

So we lit it.

Right place at the right time. Perfectly functional, just the glass globe missing.

 

But that's why they sell spares of them, it's a purrfectly reasonable thing to replace.
