    It's gotten a little cooler in Japan, so we set up our tents and lit lanterns.

    No one else was interested, but I enjoyed the lantern by myself.

    Thank you.

    Very nice indeed. Such beautiful lanterns and the ambience is perfect. Takes me back to scouting in my youth.

    @Reinhard

    Thank you.
    It had rained all day before, so I lit it again early in the morning on the second day.

    The quiet space and gentle light were soothing.

    @JEFF JOHNSON @ROBBO55

    Thank you.
    My friend said, "It looks like you're having so much fun, like you're filming your own child." It's that much fun.
    My real daughter gets mad when I point a camera at her.8]

    Excuse my ignorance.
    Do Scouts set up tents and light lanterns during their activities?

    Back in the day that was very much a scouting activity. Old ex-army canvas tents and Coleman lanterns (Strictly supervised by Scout Leader)

    @David Cully

    Thanks for letting me know.
    I'd heard of Boy Scouts before, but I didn't know what it was all about.

    It seems like training to develop a love for lanterns. Hahaha.

    @WimVe

    Thank you.
    The little lantern may not be practical, but it's cute.:content:
